María Alché, Benjamín Naishtat
María Alché

María Alché is an Argentine director, script writer and actress. She wrote and directed the feature film A Family Submerged (2018), which won best Film in Horizontes Latinos at the San Sebastian FF, and was presented at the Festivals of Locarno, Havana, Lincoln Center NY, Jeonju and Viennale, among others.

Benjamín Naishtat

Benjamín Naishtat is an Argentine filmmaker. His film Rojo (2018) was selected in Official Competition at the San Sebastian FF, awarded with the Concha de Plata for Best Direction. He wrote and directed The Movement (2015) which premiered at the Locarno FF. His film History of Fear (2014), premiered at the Berlinale Official Competition.


Marcelo has devoted his life to teaching philosophy at the Public University of Buenos Aires. When his mentor Professor Caselli dies unexpectedly, Marcelo expects to become the new head of the Department. However, his plans turn upside down with the unexpected arrival of Rafael Sujarchuk. Charismatic and seductive, Rafael returns from his pedestal in European universities to claim the vacant position for himself. Marcelo's clumsy efforts to prove he is the right candidate will trigger a philosophical duel, while his life -and the country- enter a spiral of chaos.
