Kyros Papavassiliou was born in Cyprus in 1972. His short film In the Name of the Sparrow was selected in competition at Cannes in 2007. His debut feature Impressions of a Drowned Man had its world premiere at IFF Rotterdam in 2015. Next to filmmaking, Papavassiliou also writes and directs theatre. He has published a collection of poems entitled Poneman.
Penelope and Isidoros exist in a universe where one day they can be young lovers, and the next, older and divorced. Their relationship is stretched into new dimensions as their shared and individual recollections are in constant flux. However, somewhere next to their world is another where time is linear. It is possible to break free from the world of arbitrary time? Penelope and Isidoros learn that this “freedom” comes with a cost.
