French film director and screenwriter Luc Jacquet is renowned for March of the Penguins which won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature 2005 and was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Documentary Screenplay. The Fox And the Child (2007) had released in Britain and Ireland with an English-language narration by Kate Winslet. Ice and the Sky was the closing film of Cannes 2015. In 2017, he organized an artistic expedition to Antarctica with photographer Vincent Munier and diver Laurent Ballesta. He came back with a film, March of the Penguins 2: The Next Step (2017), and the immersive exhibition Antarctica!
