Director's Biography:

Emmanuel Mouret graduated from La Fémis. His films, Venus and Fleur (2003) and Change of Address (2006), were invited to the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. His later film The Things We Say, the Things We Do (2020) was officially invited to Cannes. His other films include Shall We Kiss (2007) went to Venice FF. The Art of Love (2011) was screened at Locarno IFF. Lady J (2018) went to Toronto IFF and was nominated for multiple César Awards. With his latest Diary Of A Fleeting Affair (2022), he was once again at Cannes FF.

Synopsis:

A single mother and a married man enter into an affair with the understanding that their relationship is purely sexual. Though they agree the relationship has no future, they find themselves increasingly drawn into each other's company.
