French photographer and director Fred Cavayé comes to the world of film from fashion photography. He first started experimenting with motion pictures in 1999 with the short film J which was both a critical and commercial hit. He moved into features with 2008's Anything For Her which was a critical and commercial success with multiple César awards nominations. He moved on to direct multiple films across different genres – like an action thriller in form of Point Blank, which established him as a successful director in France, who often bring some exciting cinema experience to the audiences.
Patis, 1941. François Mercier is an ordinary man whose only goal is to start a family with Blanche, the woman he loves. François works for Mr. Haffmann, a talented Jewish jeweler. Under the German occupation, the employer and employee are forced to strike a deal which, over the following months, will upend the fate of all concerned.
