Director's Biography:

Xavier Seron

After going to law school, Xavier attended the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Belgium. Very early on, his partiality for dark humor and shooting in black and white became evident in his style. In 2014 he co-directed with Cédric Bourgeois Dreamcatchers. As of 2011, he made several short films with Méryl Fortunat-Rossi: Bad Moon, The Black Bear (selected for 250 festivals) and The Plumber (22 awards, including once again the Magritte for best short fiction film). In 2016, Xavier directed Death by Death, his first feature film. This black comedy was selected for Karlovy Vary, and won several awards, including the Palm Springs New Voices/New Visions Award and the Magritte for Best Screenplay and Best Actor.
