Director's Biography:

Mohamed Ben Attia

Tunisian filmmaker Mohamed Ben Attia studied audiovisual communication at the University of Valenciennes in France after graduating at the Institut de Hautes Etudes Commerciales (IHEC) in Tunis in 1998. He has directed few short films, Romantisme (2004), Like The Others (Silver award at FESPACO 2006), Loi 76 (2011) and Selma (2013), which was selected in the international competition of Clermont Ferrand Festival 2014 and won several awards in various festivals. His debut feature Hedi in 2016 which wins the Best First Film Award and the Silver Bear Best Actor at the 2016 Berlinale. His second feature Dear Son was selected at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes 2018.

Synopsis:

After spending four years in jail for vandalizing his place of work, Rafik has only one plan, take his son to the mountains and show him his amazing discovery.
