Tiina Lymi (1971, Finland) is a well-known Finnish actress, director, screenwriter and author. Ever since her first film role for Akvaariorakkaus (1993), she has been acting for films, plays, and television series. She was awarded with the prestigious Jussi Award for Best Leading Actress. Lymi has been working as a theater and television director.
When Maja is married to the humble fisherman Janne, they begin their family life on the remote island of Stormskerry, a place where survival is an unyielding challenge. Amidst the hardships of their isolated existence, Maja's awakening to her own potential is kindled through the love of Janne and her children.
