Mohammad Rasoulof (Shiraz, Iran. 1972) directed his first feature, The Twilight (2002). With the second, Iron Island (2005), he collected the Special Jury Prize at Gijón Festival, among other accolades. Outstanding in his filmography are The White Meadows (2009), with which he competed at San Sebastian, Goodbye (2011), Best Director Award in Un Certain Regard at the Festival de Cannes, A Man of Integrity (2017) winner of the Un Certain Regard Award and There Is No Evil (2020), winner of the Golden bear in Berlin. The Seed of the Sacred Fig harvested this year's Special Jury and FIPRESCI Prizes in Cannes.
