Born in 1972 in Shahryar – Iran, Ahmad Bahrami holds a BA in Cinema Direction from Soureh University. He made several short films before directing features. He has also written, directed and produced various documentaries and television films for Iranian television. His second feature The Wasteland has won numerous awards at international film festivals, including the Orizzonti Best Film Award at the 77th Venice Film Festival in 2020.
