Rima Das, filmmaker from India is known for making indigenous and realistic stories. She is also one of the Brand Ambassadors of Toronto International Film Festival’s 'Share Her Journey' campaign. She has been on the jury of Berlin International Film Festival Generation 14plus, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Asia Pacific Screen Awards, and Zlin Film Festival for Children & Youth. Her films Village Rockstars (2017), Bulbul Can Sing (2018), Tora's Husband (2022) and Village Rockstars 2 (2024) travelled to prestigious film festivals which include Toronto, Berlin, Busan International Film Festivals. Village Rockstars bagged the National Film Award for the Best Feature Film in India 2018 and was India's Official Entry to the Academy Awards 2019.
