In 1975, amidst the backdrop of India's Emergency, Abhimanyu, a generous & straightforward man in his 40s, faces unexpected challenges. Unable to conceive after 20 years of marriage, his wife Vimal insists he remarry. They choose Jyoti, a distant relative, but Jyoti’s brother, Pintu Sheth, opposes the match due to an old grudge. Defying opposition, Abhimanyu marries Jyoti. Soon after, Pintu and the village chief, both harboring personal vendettas, conspire against him during the Emergency, leveraging forced vasectomy drives to ruin his life.

Abhimanyu evades the authorities with Vimal’s help but becomes a fugitive. Facing betrayal, relentless pursuit by police and health officials, & rumours sweeping the village, Abhimanyu fights to protect his dignity, family, and future. His resilience is tested when he is captured but escapes, determined to challenge the oppressive system.

Set against the tense backdrop of the Emergency, the story captures Abhimanyu's remarkable struggle, the love and sacrifice in his marriages, and the chaos of enforcing government orders, all while exploring themes of survival, resistance, and justice.
