Karim Lakzadeh studied in a theater school and came to Tehran to start his undergraduate studies in Cinema. Karim started his work by making several short films such as The Gambler and participated in some reputed film festivals such as FIFF. His feature film Redhead has competed in the Mannheim-Heidelberg film festival, as well as his last feature film which participated in Fantasia Festival in 2021. He is an independent filmmaker and he prefers alternative fiction and multi-genre forms of storytelling.
After not being given any role in an audition for an Iranian mainstream film, a young girl and a young boy with the dream of acting and cinema decide to make a film, different from the mainstream cinema.
