Acclaimed director Goran Radovanović (1957, Serbia) studied art history at Belgrade’s Faculty of Philosophy. His feature film Enclave (2015) was Serbia’s candidate for the Academy Award for a foreign language film. Radovanović is a member of the European Film Academy and the Association of Film Artists of Serbia. Currently, he works as a guest professor at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in Cuba.
Eight-year-old Sava, his mother and one-year-old brother live in a Belgrade skyscraper. His father is absent, he works on a cargo ship. This relatively normal life is disrupted by the beginning of the bombing of Serbia. The air attacks begin in a general atmosphere of tension, disbelief and despair. Sava’s behavior changes. His school is closed down, a shelter becomes another home, and the girl Milica, the daughter of the local priest he is in love with, leaves the country with her mother and sisters.
